Video Downloader Not Working? 9 Fixes That Work
The link won't load, the button does nothing, or the file can't be found. Work through these checks in order; one of them fixes almost every failed download.

When a download fails, the cause is nearly always one of a small number of things. Go through them in order; the most common ones come first.
1. You're inside an app's built-in browser
If you reached the downloader by tapping a link inside Instagram, Facebook, Telegram or another social app, you aren't in your real browser. You're in a mini-browser inside that app, and those commonly block file downloads.
Fix: tap the ⋯ or ⋮ menu at the top and choose Open in Chrome, Open in Safari or Open in browser. Then paste the link again.
2. The post isn't public
Downloaders see what a logged-out visitor sees. Private accounts, friends-only posts, closed groups, protected X accounts and private Telegram channels are all invisible to them.
Test: open the link in a private or incognito window. If the platform shows a login page instead of the video, it can't be downloaded by any website. Never enter your social media password on a downloader site to get around this.
3. It's the wrong kind of link
The link has to point at one specific post, not a profile, a hashtag, a search or your home feed.

Always use the app's Share → Copy link rather than typing or guessing.
4. The download worked, but you can't find the file
Very common on iPhone, where downloads go to the Files app, not Photos. See where do downloaded videos go on iPhone and Android?
5. The video opened in a new tab and started playing
For very large files the downloader sends you to the platform's own copy instead of passing gigabytes through its servers. Save it from there: right-click → Save video as… on a computer, ⋮ → Download on Android, share → Save to Files on iPhone.
6. "Too many requests"
To keep the service fast for everyone, each connection is limited to a number of lookups per minute. Wait a minute and try again. If you're on shared Wi-Fi (an office, a hostel, a café), other people's requests count too; switching to mobile data gets you a fresh allowance.
7. The post has no video, or the video is gone
A post that is only text or a link has nothing to fetch. Posts also get deleted, accounts get suspended, and live streams can't be downloaded until they've ended and been published. Open the original link and check that the video still plays there.
8. Your browser or an extension is blocking it
- Ad blockers and privacy extensions sometimes block download requests. Try a private window (extensions are usually off there) or pause the extension for this site.
- If your browser showed a "download blocked" or "allow downloads?" message, allow it and tap the button again.
- Make sure you have free storage space.
9. The platform changed something
Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and the rest change how their sites work regularly, and downloaders need a day or two to catch up. If a platform that worked yesterday fails for every link today, that's the likely reason. Other platforms will still work in the meantime, so it's worth trying again later.
